All dimensions are inside dimensions. Clearance is the smallest gap between your item and the box interior on any axis. Need something not listed? Ask about custom molds and colors.
Using the finder
- How does "Fit an item" decide what fits?
- It compares your item to each box's inside length, width and height and keeps every box where all three clear. Results are sorted by box volume, so the tightest fit is first. Tick "allow rotating" and the item may also lie the other way round in the box.
- Are these inside or outside dimensions?
- Inside. Every number on this site is the usable interior of the box. Outside dimensions are larger by the wall thickness.
- How much clearance should I leave?
- For a loose fit that is easy to load by hand, 1/16" to 1/8" per side is typical. For a snug presentation fit or when the item sits in a foam insert, size the box to the insert, not the item, and ask us to quote the foam with it.
- I can type fractions?
- Yes. "2-1/4", "2 1/4" and "2.25" all mean the same thing. Inches only.
- What if nothing fits?
- Try the rotation option first. If there is still nothing, send us the item dimensions on the quote form; between custom molds, foam inserts and a few models not yet listed we can usually solve it.
